MLK Day Events Around The Triad

As we celebrate King Day on January 21st, there are lots of 'Day of Service' events to take part in.  We'll update this page as more events are announced.


Saturday, January 19th:

Dr. King's Dream Tree at Benjamin Branch G.L.O.W. - Greensboro Libraries on Weekends

Benjamin Branch Library

1530 Benjamin Parkway in Greensboro.  This is an all day event.


Winter Drive For the Homeless: The KING Project

Saturday, January 19th from 11am-1pm at the Windsor Recreation Center

Martin Luther King Jr. Parade

11am-Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Greensboro


The 39th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Noon Hour Commemoration

Union Baptist Church, 1200 Trade Street

Winston-Salem, NC 27101

This year's event will feature Melissa Harris-Perry as the Keynote Speaker

Doors open at 11am to the general public without charge or reservation.


Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

Four Seasons Town Center in Greensboro from 10:30am-1pm

This event will include a nonprofit fair, on site service projects, a career fair, community art and lots more!
